A vessel is a consumable, not a fixture.
Digestion vessels, liners, seals and O-rings see repeated exposure to concentrated acid at 200 °C-plus and eventually need replacement. Every MARS 6, MARSXpress 2.0 and supported legacy CEM system in South Africa draws on the same annuity supply of vessels and spares. MAD Technology holds this stock locally, so a worn seal or a cracked liner does not become a stalled laboratory.

Proteomics Sample Preparation
Discover Proteomics — CEM's microwave-assisted proteomics sample preparation system, built on the Discover platform. Purpose-built for membrane solubilisation, ICAT/iTRAQ tagging, and in-gel/in-solution digests in 5–10 minutes with improved sequence coverage.
DigestPro — an automated robotic enzymatic digestion platform.

Both instruments share the same vessel range — MARSXpress (75 mL, CEM's most popular vessel), MARSXpress Plus (110 mL), EasyPrep (55 mL), GreenChem (30 mL, lower acid volume), iPrep (10 mL, micro-volume) and Xpress (75 mL). Contact MAD with your instrument's serial number to confirm the exact vessel kit in use.
Replacement seals, liners and caps are supplied for all vessel types — availability should be confirmed with the MAD team for your specific vessel and instrument.
MAD continues to support legacy instruments including Discover SP-D, SMART Turbo, SMART Trac II, MARS 5 and STAR. Consumables and parts availability for these should be confirmed directly with the MAD team.
